Hi. Can i telll Enlightenment to start a program at startup?
Not .xinitrc or simmilar, cause i use gdm for startups. This
is Enlightenment standalone not with eg. gnome. Thanks for
answers, Kenneth.

Do a <Alt>+ right click on the app you want to restart at login. Go to Remember settings, tick "Startup at login" and you're all set. Don't do that with epplets, but for anything else it works well. John C.

Yes, but how do I do that for non-GUI applications, like running `xscreensaver &` on startup?

ln -s .xinitrc .Xclients

Doesn't help. What I need is to run xscreensaver automatically. I've
followed instructions from xscreensaver manpage, but to no avail. I
am using gdm, but I've tried instructions for both gdm and xdm, just
in case. But alas, nothing, nada, nil, nought... :/

Make sure .xinitrc is executable. It should contain an xscreensaver in it as follows:

xscreensaver &

Make sure xscreensaver is in your path.
