Hi! I use Mandrake 10.0 Linux Distribution (Community version) on a PC.
My WM is E, of course, and I love to use the epplets.
I installed many librarie to thave this running, but I receive together
an error of png.h of libpng 1.2.5 and png.c of libp
g 1.0.12: this disable
display of png and the execution of a great variety of epplet, for example,
E-FancyLauncher, E-monitor, E-Areas, etc.
If Mandrake Linux do not support ad well E and the epplets, what is the
Linux Distribution that offers the etter support for E and epplets?

Hi,

-> Gentoo

Epplets:

E-Areas.epplet E-MemWatch.epplet E-ScreenSave.epplet
E-Bandwidth.epplet E-Mixer.epplet E-ScreenShoot.epplet
E-Biff.epplet E-MoonClock.epplet E-SD.epplet
E-Clock.epplet E-Mountbox.epplet E-Slides.epplet
E-Cpu.epplet E-Net.epplet E-Sys.epplet
E-Disk.epplet E-NetFlame.epplet E-Time.epplet
E-Exec.epplet E-NetGraph.epplet E-Toolbox.epplet
E-GtkRc.epplet E-OpenGL-Demo.epplet E-UrlWatch.epplet
E-Load.epplet E-Pants.epplet E-Wireless.epplet
E-LoadMeter.epplet E-Pinger.epplet E-Xss.epplet
E-Magic.epplet E-Power.epplet

There are all CVS EFL libs and E17 apps in Gentoo ~x86 included. search
here: http://packages.gentoo.org/categories/

E16 is very very good supported and there's the newest E package only some
days after release (currently pre-5).

But Debian (unstable) has perhaps also good E16 support. I don't use E on
debian. So perhaps someone else could say something about it.

regards
Andreas

I'm using Debian SID (unstable) and either e and epplets are well supported.
The only thing is the actual version in the apt repository : e 0.16.6.
So you need to compile manually 0.16.7pre5 and it works perfectly.
I also use Entrance, Entice and others with their proper libs installed from e17 cvs and everything works fine.
