well if you got an intermediate version with broken cache fiels it may be
broken - but it should work now (for the last few days/this weekend). so if
they still have vanished after deleting and lettign them be re-generated (the
cache files) something must be wrong with the cache code - but i don't knwo
what at this stage. it "works for me". E detects changes in the actual .eap
files and updates the aches when it does at runtime and evenwhen e is not
running it picks up changes that happened when it wasn't looking.

actually - question. in ~/.e/e/applications/all

do you have all the .eap's in the all/ dir - or do you have a whole directory
tree with subdirs of icons etc. ?
