I'm afraid that the xkeycaps tool isn't much help. I simply need a way to switch between multiple keyboard layouts. I am already able to touch-type on my keyboard using the layouts mentioned above (us,fr,is,el), so I don't need anything visual or any re-mapping tool, I just need a working replacement for the e17 language module.
