that is something we had hoped to cure by profiels. thats why the first time u
run e it presents several profiles to choose from - choose the one you like. it
is defintiely possible we dont have one for everyone and likely never will, but
we are more than happy to accept proposals (and actual patches) that provide
profiels that people actually like by default. if enough people want a specific
one we can add it in by default. at least in theory we have tried to address
this with "options".

:) we try. it's not perfect. there is much work to be done, but .. it's being
worked on.

indeed that is so true. people don;t notice (or say wow/thanks) when things
"just magically work". some things e17 is very good at making "just magically
work". other things its bad at. people complain bitterly about these but never
say much about the good bits :) why? they don't notice. something "just
worked". it didn't get in their way. you can never make everyone happy with "1
configuration, 1 way to do things", but allowing flexibility to do it
differently and making it easier to access that "different way" is a key to
making more people happier more often. :)
