Yes, it is possible.  If the dev run out of time and didn't finish his 
homework to leave us with a complete application.  In that case it is a matter 
of tracing the install command and reversing its effects (i.e. mostly deleting 
files that it pasted all over your system, doing away with any symlinks, etc.)
