ah ha! i didn't notice that config option... once i changed it to use the session_login command: exec /bin/bash -login $HOME/.xinitrc everything is working great! all i can say is... wow. impressive. already looks great. a little more love and she'll be miles ahead of *dm :-) this is a super fresh system, so i didn't have any xsession files at all i don't think, and only E will be on this system anyway (laptop). however, elsa should maybe fallback to the session command in that case? .elsa_session didn't even exist (previously), as the login screen never even showed up; elsa just quit right away after starting X. do you know of any good blogs/etc. on elsa and friends? docs are a little scant :-), i know there are config options (at least -n <?> and -d from trial and error :-) but i can't seem to find out whats available (in particular, i dont know how to reboot/etc from elsa). or know any other tips (font is pretty small, but i know elsa is still pretty new, no worries, could be my machine too)? I'll look more at enlightenment.org, just looking for as many resources as possible for customization. looking forward to the release! you guys have done some great work, and i'll be pulling my weight to get it into Arch proper, as soon as possible.
