I've been using E since before that 'start kde' option was, but never got problems with K apps. Try E's own startup, you can add akonaditray and some other k daemon to start in there.
When you start adding apps in e's startup, if you can't find what you need, try looking for the .desktop and placing them in ~/.local/share/applications El 5 de septiembre de 2011 21:07, Carsten Haitzler <[email protected]>escribió: > On Mon, 5 Sep 2011 20:47:21 +0200 Alex Baer <[email protected]> said: > > > > > Hi there, > > > > here it goes on... ;) > > > > Up to now I used to start e without KDE services, which is the default. > But > > as my preferred KMail depends on Akonadi, now, (one of the reasons why I > look > > at other DEs and WMs, currently, with e in the pole, now), I thought I > click > > that check box on. > > > > My expectation was, that this would start Akonadi & Co. at login, but it > > doesn't. > > > > I am speaking of settings dialog > Applications > Desktop Environments > > > Start KDE services on login. > > > > (BTW, this is seemingly not yet translated. > > Talking of which, in the dialog for setting the placement of new windows > > there's a typo: "Plazieren" is incorrect.
