These symptoms only started 2-3 weeks ago here. When on battery the crashes happen within 20 minutes or so, invariably when I click on Kmail to do something (e.g. post a response) with mplayer playing at the same time and perhaps a couple of terminals open. I don't know if Kmail causes some race condition or what not, but I would not think that this would cause the whole desktop to crash ... This is what I got this morning during a session which crashed as I describe above: (gdb) #0 0x00007f93aea2c63e in __lll_lock_wait_private () from /lib64/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #1 0x00007f93ae9bfd32 in _L_lock_6669 () from /lib64/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #2 0x00007f93ae9be101 in free () from /lib64/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #3 0x00007f93ac5f7bfd in _XReply () from /usr/lib64/libX11.so.6 No symbol table info available. #4 0x00007f93ac5f3302 in XSync () from /usr/lib64/libX11.so.6 No symbol table info available. #5 0x00000000004d074d in e_sigabrt_act (x=<optimized out>, info=<optimized out>, data=<optimized out>) at e_signals.c:172 No locals. #6 <signal handler called> No symbol table info available. #7 0x00007f93ae978ab5 in raise () from /lib64/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #8 0x00007f93ae979db5 in abort () from /lib64/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #9 0x00007f93ae9b3cb3 in __libc_message () from /lib64/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #10 0x00007f93ae9b91d5 in malloc_printerr () from /lib64/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #11 0x00007f93ae9be10c in free () from /lib64/libc.so.6 No symbol table info available. #12 0x00007f93af990f25 in _ecore_con_event_server_del_free (data=<optimized out>, ev=0xe11160) at ecore_con.c:2479 e = 0xe11160 #13 0x00007f93b19e4487 in _ecore_call_end_cb (func_data=<optimized out>, user_data=0x0, func=<optimized out>) at ecore_private.h:290 No locals. #14 _ecore_event_del (event=<optimized out>) at ecore_events.c:393 data = 0x0 #15 0x00007f93b19e50ac in _ecore_event_purge_deleted () at ecore_events.c:411 next = 0x12691d0 itr = <optimized out> #16 _ecore_event_call () at ecore_events.c:593 l = <optimized out> l_next = <optimized out> eh = <optimized out> #17 0x00007f93b19e9325 in _ecore_main_loop_iterate_internal (once_only=0) at ecore_main.c:1814 next_time = <optimized out> #18 0x00007f93b19e9807 in ecore_main_loop_begin () at ecore_main.c:931 No locals. #19 0x00000000004369d2 in main (argc=<optimized out>, argv=<optimized out>) at e_main.c:993 safe_mode = 0 '\000' after_restart = 0 '\000' waslocked = 0 '\000' t = 1340261088.7397189 tstart = 1340261088.7397189 s = <optimized out> buff = "1340261088.7\000\000\000\000\244\254r\000\000\000\000\000[\315B\000\000\000\000" action = {__sigaction_handler = {sa_handler = 0x4d0730 <e_sigabrt_act>, sa_sigaction = 0x4d0730 <e_sigabrt_act>}, sa_mask = {__val = {0 <repeats 16 times>}}, sa_flags = -1073741820, sa_restorer = 0x7f9300000001} __FUNCTION__ = "main" (gdb) A debugging session is active.
