hello e-users, since i have been using dr17 for a few years on my laptop/home pc on gentoo, i gave it a try on my work pc which is running opensuse 12.2. i installed alpha2 & efl 1.7.1 from the X11:/Enlightenment:/Factory repository.
everything seems to work fine, with one exception: 1) start firefox -> i can see e17 startup screen flickering through once, then firefox starts normally. [1b) close firefox or leave it open. leads to the same result.] 2) start thunderbird -> "normal" e17 view and e startup screen keep flickering, and all i can do is zapping the x server. no thunderbird, no "enlightenment segv'd" message, just flickering. 3) this also "works" the other way round (first thunderbird, then firefox). does anyone else have this problem? greetings, sebastian ps: one thing to consider: i use two screens on an radeon hd4650 using fglrx legacy, because the compositor wouldn't work on the open source radeon drivers. since fglrx has been a pita since it came into existence, could it be a bug the driver? and if so, why doesn't this happen on kde? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Monitor your physical, virtual and cloud infrastructure from a single web console.
