Yes, it's in /opt. I use easy_e17 and that's the default prefix, I never 
changed it

No, I don't. I use KDM, I've been using KDM for a long long time and I've been 
compiling E for a loong looong time and this is the first time this happens and 
it started happening with ALPHA3

I've seen it, it's not related since I use a loggin manager and don't use xinit 
scripts
