Thanks for the clarification, Barton.

AFAIK, the trash bin of Xfce and KDE complies to Freedesktop standards, that's
why it
works with both Xfce and KDE, I guess. Actually I'd rather see this also to be
supported in e than having to use an e specific trash bin, that would not be
supported
by the other desktops --- as then I'd have a function-less trash bin icon
created by e
on my Xfce or KDE desktop, right? Except, if the e module would comply to the
relevant standards, of course...
I know, my requirements are contradicting: On the one hand I want something
that
integrates well with e, including that it supports e themes etc., on the other
hand it
should work not onlý within an e desktop. Not sure, if something like that can
be done,
at all...

I am using Slackware64-current, at the moment, mainly because of the many
improvements in KDE 4.10.1, including KHTML (which finally renders all pages I
use,
correctly, it seems) and MTP support in Dolphin, which allows me to exchange
data
with mobile phones (recent iPhones and Androids don't support PTP, in a useful
way,
anymore).
