This is a FreeBSD+Enlightenment+PAMS misconfiguration.  It should be
fixable via configuration, but I typically have E utilize xscreensaver
instead, as I prefer some of xscreensavers modules.  If xscreensaver is
a possibility, then you can have have E facilitate and control
xscreensaver for you.

Just seconding the "it's a Display Manager you want" that someone else
mentioned.  GDM has worked well for me in the past for this.  Though I
typically don't use a DM.  I just login and have a special X11 startup
script I use.  But a DM is the ticket here for you.

As someone else also mentioned the sysactions.conf is the ticket.  It's
usually a sysactions.conf + permissions issue.  For me I modify its
contents and sudo all necessary ops, providing myself sudo caps without
passwd requirements.  But as similar to above, I seldom use such things
either.  I just exit E and shutdown the machine.  But I'm sure this is
not how most users prefer to do things.
