The systray is part of Enlightenment.  You access it from the
Settings Panel: Extensions => Modules => Utilities.  Enable
Systray, and you should be fine.  (You may need to restart E; it's
been so long since I started using the systray that I've forgotten
if I had to restart or not. :-) )
