i didn't mean to imply it WORKS with xephyr. you'd need to use a "virtual
xserver" as a solution - like xephyr. modify its code to support it.

no it wouldn't. :) rewriting xfig to use efl would be easier. actually would be
easier just to write a new diagramming tool that uses efl and supports fig
files. :)
