I can't recall this behaviour on enlightenment windows.  I press the middle 
button + Alt and then drag to/from the nearest corner of the window to resize 
it.

Yes.  It works here, with Translucent shelf Style and Xembed enabled.  
However, it is a bit of a hit and miss affair.  Sometimes the background 
colour (the grey default theme) covers whichever application's icon happens to 
be in the Systray.  I understand that systray and e19 are somewhat 
incompatible in their design, but I find the systray function very useful in 
managing my desktop.  I hope it gets fixed one day.  :-)
