Hello I've been asked to have a look at using the Amazon Kindle on our campus wireless network. We have our wireless controllers and NAC set up so that the students with their laptops etc go to the Enterasys captive portal page and register their devices on the network.
However with the Kindle there’s no web browser and it would be nice not to have to set up a separate VNS for them. Is there any way to allow the Kindles via their MAC address access onto the same student VNS that would usually require registration? I did do a test but the Kindle always showed up on the NAC as an end-system that had hit our Unregistered NAC Profile. Strangely the Kindle showed the OS as being Enterasys HiPath Wireless Access Point 3610/3620.
