Yes, we have experienced this behavior and more often than not it is with the POE switches but happens with non POE as well. It has happened on B and C series. Sometimes half the ports work and half don't. I think that is probably a controller issue since they have 2 controllers and 2 memory banks. Usually the LED's for the ports stay lit green or amber on half the switch and sometimes the whole switch. I would suggest you RMA the equipment as my experience has been that if they stay in production they will continue have issues.

Yes, it is causing me to lose my mind.  We also have a switch stack with 7 c2s no POE purchased around the sametime. 

It happened once and I thought they just needed a reboot but now the slow network then locking up is occurring more often.

I have noticed just before it locks completely up that two C2s in the stack say they are the manager.

Good Morning Everyone...

Recently, we have had several switches fail (five+ in the last 2 months).

The failure symptoms are:  Lights on switches lock up and stay lit usually all amber or amber green. No traffic passes.

Or many ports report slowness.  "Molasses" is the word most often used.

Most of our C2's are from 2004-2006 all are c2H or c2G (no POE)

Anyone else see these behviours?
