Subject: [enterasys] [D-G-I SERIES] D2 switch admin account lockout

Greetings,

I have a standalone D2 switch running an old firmware release:

            Bp:01.00.40
            Fw:01.00.02.0002

I was locked out of the `admin' superuser account after three
tries. I pressed the "password reset" button per the manual,
and duly got the message "Password reset has been pressed" on
the console. However I am still unable to login to the `admin'
account.

Reviewing the firmware documentation for a later release I saw
that this is a "known bug" (admin account is not re-enabled
after lockout). How do I recover from this condition? Is there
a "reset to factory default" switch or other boot method to
reload the firmware?

Thanks,
-arun
