Interested. We would like to do the same. Same issue with being closer to better signal but sticking on an associated AP.

Is there any way to control how "sticky" a client device will be to a particular AP? I realize that AP re-association can be disruptive and you don't want that happening too much. I do notice though that in some locations where we are getting user complaints about wifi performance, a client device that wanders around will stay associated with a distant AP with a weak signal much longer than I would like it to, rather than re-associating with a much closer and stronger AP. Is there any way to set a minimum signal-strength for association? Better yet would be a delta-threshold; i.e. if the AP-2 signal is 5-db better than AP-1, then re-associate.
