Thanks for the input guys. My management just wants me to explore whether it is possible or not to turn off the requirement to activate plugins, specifically flash (old or new) . If there is no known or reasonable way to force “always activate” for any version of flash for all sites, then I’ll just run with that.
We do a controlled update of Flash and Java about every 1-2 weeks, so we’re within an organization-accepted window of risk with those. If you have a known-vulnerable version of Flash, we force the per-site activation feature on.
