Hello Community!

I wanted to first say that I’m new to the Enterprise side of Firefox, so if
there’re links to some necessary readings that will help me get started please
feel free to link me!

My question is around supporting Firefox with custom settings, within an
Enterprise. When we first looked into this (years ago) Firefox didn’t support
GPO natively, so we decided to package Firefox (SCCM) with are configuration
settings built in. One issue we are seeing is our Desktop Support guys/girls
are seeing Firefox as ‘Available’ within our deployment software (Software
Center) and installing it, even though the user doesn’t use it. This has led to
a lot of outdated versions within our environment. One thing I’m looking into
is using a SCCM Compliance Item (CI) to monitor machines with Firefox
installed, then run are configuration on those machines. Hoping to do some
testing of this soon.

If anyone would like to share their experience, or enterprise setup with me
that would be great. At this time I’m just trying to get a good starting point
to try an overhaul are current implementation.

Items we configure:

1: Default homepage

2: Configure Single Sign-On (SSO)

Thanks for your time!

-Erick
