Hello,

At TI we have approximately 10,000 users on Firefox, about 8,500 of which are
on ESR versions. ESR 52 has just released, so we were wondering when (or if)
ESR 45 users will be updated (or auto update) to 52. I haven't found any
documents on the Mozilla site or wiki that detail how ESR clients update to the
next major release. We are hoping not to have to push 52 using SCCM, to
equalize the clients on the latest version. When I look in our SCCM inventory
collection, I see 361 users still on ESR 38, and 17 still on ESR 31. And of
the 8,196 ESR 45 systems, just 192 are on 45.8.0, and 1,149 are on 45.7.0.

So, how does updating from one major ESR release to the next happen? And how
does the Mozilla Maintenance Service come into play?

I've also seen references to an "application update service" on the FAQ page:

https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/organizations/faq/

but I didn't know if that still exists, or if it's been replaced by the Mozilla
Maintenance Service.

Thanks for any information you can provide.

Regards,
