Hello, We are currently using Mozilla Firefox ESR version in our Enterprise and have plans of hosting our own Firefox update server so that Auto Update feature in Firefox grabs the update from our internal source. However, the Auto Update feature only gets triggered when Firefox is launched, what we want to do is to force the Auto Update component without launching Firefox. I know that you can manually install a MAR file via command-line which uses the updater.exe. But what we would like to do is to run the Auto Update check via command-line instead. The Auto Update feature, I believe runs the Mozilla Maintenance Service that goes out to the update server, reads the update.xml file and figures out if there's a new update to install and then installs it. This is the logic we are trying to leverage since it is already built-in Firefox.
Is there a way to run Auto update/Mozilla Maintenance Service via command-line? I found the below wiki, but I can't get the command to work to run the Mozilla Maintenance Service. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Windows_Service_Silent_Update Anybody trying to do the same thing or have any ideas/suggestions?
