Greetings.

I've been really trying to find a solid IMAP client for some time
now. I've used Eudora for years for my pop mail, and recently decided
to switch to IMAP so I could have access to complete mail archives
both at home and work. Eudora's implementation of IMAP is good, but
not as elegant as I'd like.

Entourage has seemed to be pretty good. I've noticed a few things
though. I run a pretty standard IMAP server, the imap-uw port from
Univ. Washington. Sometimes, when filtering many messages and
resyncronizing many mailboxes, Entourage will give an error, and say
it couldn't get a lock on the mailbox. I then start to see duplicate
messages in my INBOX, which it then filters to the appropriate IMAP
boxes, but still double the messages. It's rather odd. anyone else
seen this?

One feature I'm really looking for, and so far I think I've only
found in Mulberry, is the ability to set a personality filter for
messages and/or mailboxes located on the IMAP server. I run a couple
mailing lists, and while the mail gets forwarded to one single
account, the account I post to must be a different one than where it
gets forwarded. Entourage has no way to automatically set the Account
for incoming messages. This is something I need so I don't have to
change the account each time I send a message to approve or deny a
post. Is there any way around this perhaps with an Applescript?

Entourage looks like a very Elegant client, and I'm anxious to learn
if it will completely suit my needs for a solid IMAP client.

Regards,
james
