And if it's not clear already, it means that the Spell-Checker will or won't
base its criteria for what's correct spelling according to this preference
only if you have your language set to German in Tools--> Change Dictionary�

Probably they should have dimmed this preference if you have your language
preference set to anything other than German, since it's not applicable
otherwise.  We missed that in beta testing, but it's not too serious since
it doesn't do anything anyway without the German language preference.
