My original message, although well intentioned and with a valid point or two, must have been really poorly written because it:
1. Offended Paul
2. Confused Dave
3. Resulted in differing interpretations by Alan and Paul over a side issue.
I never thought I could do so much harm with a simple bug report, so it must have been a real whopper of a mistake. Again, I apologize to all concerned and repeat that no offense was ever intended. It was written tongue-in-cheek, but not expressed well enough for that to come through. So, in the interests of clarity and repairing my damaged relationship with all you good guys on the list, I will issue the following clarifications.
That’s OK, Bruce. I just got a bit prickly because I didn’t catch your “tongue-in-cheek” intention until you replied to Diane Schirf, where you made it somewhat more obvious. You had appeared to be quite worked up. No harm done.
