I'm not entirely sure I'd call that a bug. Entourage is just doing what the
scripter is telling it to do. There are many things that OE and Entourage
allow you to do in scripting that you can't do from the UI, for which I've
often been grateful. Here you'd like Entourage to be smarter than the
scripter. But if the scripter is smart enough, he or she can always check
the category list before adding a new category, and not add it if it's there
already, no? And if it's too late and you've already done this with 200
contacts, you could undo it by script too.
