It seems to me that ordinary users might become confused. Either a message
was sent or it wasn't, and that's the information given to you by the app.
But if you go the trouble to learn AppleScript (or get someone else to!),
then all sorts of forbidden tricks are available, presumably on the grounds
that you know what you are doing with them. It's not a bad system.
