I'll do an update of Sort by Field so it can do this. It has a field
Country/Zip, which sorts by postal code within each country. (I may need to
look at the numerical sorting within alphabetical, as well.) At the moment
it doesn't include non-postal-coded addresses, but it could. Then you could
simply add the postal code on the list and run the companion script
"Standardize Fields" and it will enter the codes in the Address Book as well
as doing a re-sort. I'll let you know when I've done this.
You can already use it this way for missing state (or country) field, using
the Country/State/City sort, but it can take quite a long time to get the
sort.
