I've never seen a problem with ten. But over 50, yeah. It's a limitation,
usually, imposed by the mail server at your ISP. In my experience the
messages go through nevertheless; a message gets broken into several, each
having 50 or so. To be safe, you can break it up yourself with messages of
50 or less. I have a script that works with OE that does Bulk E-mail. Thing
is, you have to export the names and address to a tab-delimited text file
with just first name, last name, and E-mail address fields. That, and a text
file containing the message, are dragged onto the script applet, and it
generates the messages in OE for you. I have not ported the script to
Entourage yet, but I imagine it will require very few, if any, changes.
I've thought about trying to make a version of it that works with a group or
a set of selected contacts in the address book. But I'm not sure I will have
time for that, although it seems feasible. (In OE the Address Book wasn't
quite so scriptable, as I recall.)
I just changed the app name in the script from OE to Microsoft Entourage,
and it compiled and ran fine. I'll post the script to my web site later
tonight for anyone who wants it, and also to Erik's new AppleScript Central
site.

9:05:30 PM. I got interrupted for dinner and things, so I've just uploaded
my "Bulk Mail MSE script set.sit" file, a Stuffit archive, to that web site
in the Entourage directory. It's better than I recalled!
There are four scripts and two readme's. "Export Selected Addresses" will
export a tab-delimited text file named "Address List" to the desktop, with
first, last names and E-mail address. You can use this as an input list to
the applet script, "Bulk Mail MSE". Read the readme file for use
instructions.
The script "Export Address Groups" will export one or more address book
groups as a file like the above, but named Address Groups. There will be a
header line for each group. If you want to use this as input to the bulk
mail script, you will need to remove the header lines and rename the file to
"Address List".
The remaining script, "Import Address Groups", can be used to reform groups
after a complex rebuild of the database.

No idea!
