Title: Re: Newton
We only had so many resources to devote to mobile device sync, and we made a bad choice early on to go with the EO instead of the Newton. :-)

Are you serious? Apple killed the Newton almost 3 years ago (2/27/98) before Office 98 was even released, let alone Office 2001 and Microsoft Entourage.
David! Shame on you! Just because Apple stopped supporting it doesn’t mean that it isn’t/wasn’t a good machine or piece of technology. (In fact, in the early to mid-90’s that seemed to be the surest sign of its vaulue! ;-)
I don’t think he’s saying anything of the sort, Chris. I think David is explaining why MS Office doesn’t support conduits and importing/exporting to/from the Newton. You can hardly expect them to devote time and effort to supporting technology that Apple has made obsolete. No hardware or software company ever does that, except occasionally if it’s their own software or hardware (for backward compatibility).
Of course Paul. I was just poking fun, particularly since I myself had asked half-way through the beta if anyone had any ideas for a workaround to get Erage to work with a Newton. A little humor (I thought) that’s all! (And I agree that such effort hardly makes sense.)
