May be I didn't get the point exactly, but I'm not able to replicate

Wait a moment, now I see -- yes, in fact the calendar opened in its own
window and opened in the right-hand pane of the main window behave
differently.
Nice move, isn't it, this way you can tweak the calendar to act according to
your personal preference ;-)

I believe it's a bug -- as an interim solution, use the calendar in
