Hi
If you imported the categories from Palm Desktop and are experiencing the
duplicate categories problem, Entourage is not keeping track of what is a
matching category from the Palm and keeps adding it as a new categories to
the Categories list after you synch.
If all your most updated data is on your Palm you can fix this by renaming
your current Entourage identity to something else, creating a new identity
with the name that matches your Palm user, setting the Entourage conduit to
have Palm overwrite Entourage, and then synching. Of course, since it will
be a new identity, you'll have to re-select the preferences you prefer and
enter your mail accounts again. If you have downloaded mail locally and have
not left it on the mail server, it will remain in the old identity. To get
the messages in the new identity, you can drag them to the desktop and then
into the correct folder in the new identity. (Or you can put all the
messages in a folder in the old identity and drag the folder to the desktop
and then into the new identity.)
