Hi Andrew

When you say the rest of the data was imported from the Palm, do you mean
you created all the items on the Palm (except for categories) or do you mean
you created the items in Palm Desktop and synched with the Palm?

And did you create the categories on the Palm when you were using OE 5.02 or
when you were using Entourage after you imported the OE 5.02 items?

BTW I have this exact same problem.  Categories are useless to me.  I've
only created one or two categories on the Palm, none in Palm Desktop.  My
contacts came from OE and the rest of the data was imported from the Palm
during a Hot Synch.  Every time I synch, more and more Personal categories
show up.  I deleted them once, but that was such a pain that I've just left
it alone.
