I can't comment on the localization to French, but there's almost zero
localization of shortcuts to German:

- the menus list <cmd>-"[" and <cmd>-"]" for previous/next message.

- on a German QWERTZ keyboard, the keystrokes for "[" are <opt>-<5>,
  and <opt>-<6> for "]"

- therefore <cmd>-"[" should translate to <cmd>-<opt>-<5>, and <cmd>-"]"
  should translate to <cmd>-<opt>-<6>

* in fact, <cmd>-<opt>-<5> works like expected

* whereas <cmd>-<opt>-<6> moves an item to trash ... obviously a severe bug.
I haven't been able to find a working shortcut for "next message" yet.
Note, <cmd>-<opt>-<6> works fine for me using a non-localized copy of
  Office/Entourage.

* surprisingly, in the calendar <cmd>-<opt>-<ctrl>-<6> moves to next week

* naturally lots of shortcuts for navigating threaded messages are broken
or mixed up because the <opt> key is already used to access "[" and "]"

- the shortcut for "add to address book" still is <cmd>-"="

- on a German keyboard, the keystrokes for "=" are <shift>-<0>

* unfortunately <cmd>-<shift>-<0> is the system wide shortcut for
  "put computer to sleep" ...

btw, for shortcuts, "help" doesn't help that much -- the entry for
the one and only localized shortcut I'm aware of (cycle through windows:
<cmd> "-" instead of the original <cmd> "~") refers to the original
shortcut.
