Title: Re: What folder? [Short Script]
On or near 12/13/00 12:09 PM, I observed:

Dennis has pointed out that the current folder can be revealed by clicking on the Move menu (it's the top item with a bullet next to it). That is great!
However, in the meantime I wrote that script I mentioned, and added the ability to OPEN the enclosing folder with the current message selected. Thus, if you are viewing a Custom View with messages from many folders, and have a message open, you can run this script. It will tell you what the current folder is and ask if you want to open it. This gives a fast way to get to related messages, something I often need to do.
tell application "Microsoft Entourage"
if class of the front window is message window then
set theMsg to displayed feature of the front window
set x to storage of theMsg
display dialog "This message is stored in folder: \"" & name of x & ¬
"\"" & return & "Do you wish to open it?" buttons {"Yes", "No"} default button 2
if button returned of result is "Yes" then
open x
set the selection to {theMsg}
end if
else
beep 2
end if
end tell
