Hi,
I've been using Entourage for about two weeks now, and I really like it. I'm
now trying to get my Palm cleaned up (too long syncing with Outlook on
Windows machines), and I am discovering some shortcomings that I am hoping
can be addressed.
The largest shortcoming I've seen is the apparent limit of what fields in
Entourage that I can have synched to the Custom fields of the Address book.
I've been keeping the following information in the Palm:
Custom 1: Spouse Name
Custom 2: All contact birthdays
Custom 3: Web page
Custom 4: Anniversary
Out of these, the only one that I can sync with Entourage is Anniversary.
Because of the way I do birthdays (everyone's birthday in field, i.e.: John
1/1/66 Jane 2/2/77 Jackie 3/3/88, with a carriage return between each), I
cannot use the normal birthday field in Entourage. For the other two fields,
the data is there, but the conduit will not allow me to choose those data
fields.
I also appear to be having problems with synching categories. I created a
couple of categories in my Address Book in Entourage, but the matching Palm
entries are all Unfiled.
Last problem is that my Notes don't appear to be synching at all. Is there a
way to see if there is an error occurring?
