Title: Why So Slow to Open?
Why does Entourage take so long to open fully?
After double-clicking on Entourage’s icon, the opening music will sound after a few seconds, but then Entourage will freeze for 10-15 seconds before the assistant appears and the menus become usable. (BTW, I have Entourage set to open to the inbox, not the calendar.)
My only solution has been to reinstall OS 9.0.4 and Office 2001. (2000 Firewire PowerBook, OS 9.0.4, huge amount of RAM, minimal third-party stuff, etc.)
