It's not a "problem". .exe files are "executable" Windows files - i.e.
application files which can only be run on Windows computers. Ones that you
are sent in email unsolicited are generally either silly or viruses so I
wouldn't worry too much. The only way to open them is to buy Virtual PC so
your computer can emulate being a Windows PC. Not worth it just for that,
but if you ever have a good reason (you need to run a program that doesn't
have a Mac version) you'll get all those unsolicited .exe files as a bonus.
