That "touch" would be really nice if the OS allowed me to set a
preference for column widths for new folders.

Actually all my folders displayed in list view do just show short
date, and I like the feature to be able to display time of day also
by widening the d&t column by just a quarter of an inch.

What I don't like -- maintaining folder views ...
