MSN Mail error -3171

Title: MSN Mail error -3171

I’m using MSN as my pop mail account. I also have another pop mail account. When I click send receive all, both accounts are connected and mail is received. Almost always, during the receipt of mail from the MSN account I get an error –3171 that says mail can no longer be received. When I then Select Tools-Send Receive and select the MSN account the remaining mail is received correctly and without interruption. Any idea what’s happening or how to fix this?
