The Mac O/S X version of Office will be Carbon. That means that it will
also run under Mac O/S 9. You wont have to upgrade your os to run the new
Office. I'm guessing that by the time Office for X comes out, Mac O/S X
will be refined enough and have enough apps that I'll want to upgrade
anyway.
