I would like to have a rather complicated rule running, and I'm hoping
someone can point me to resources that have already been written.
I'm on a number of mailing lists with heavy traffic. Sometimes I respond to
or start a thread, and then forget to read the replies. What I'd like is to
have incoming messages that follow up on one of my messages to be
categorized and colored with a stand-out color.
The best way I can think of is to have a rule on outgoing messages that add
outgoing subjects to a list. Incoming messages get compared against this
list and colored if there's a match. There should also be an expiration, to
avoid messages in three weeks getting matched when they shouldn't.
Best way I can think of to maintain this list is with a persistent variable
in an AppleScript. Anyone have any better ideas?
Best,
Jeff Porten
