I think it <could> be simpler if you ran a script with a recurring schedule.
Have that script scan your list folder(s) looking for incoming messages that
have a link to an outgoing message sent by you. (Links of this kind are made
automatically by Entourage.) Such messages would have a special category
assigned (if not already assigned) by the script.

This would not flag messages immediately. But I'd guess that if it ran every
ten minutes or so, it would be enough; or you could run the script/schedule
manually any time you wanted to update things.

Come to think of it, you can create a Custom View for all folders that
selects "Specific Header" "In-Reply-To" contains <youremail@address>. Just
tried it; it works.
