How many "rules" do you have in Entourage? And where these rules imported over from Outlook Express?
I had this same problem in the beginning and deleted all rules and wrote new ones in Entourage, and that to fixed the problem for me. Also keep your rules to no more than 9 Actions per rule. This is a known bug that is being worked on by the MS team.
Try this before giving up.
