I have an address book with many duplicates: the first came from Palm
Desktop, and has the usual info. The second came from OE, and has only the
email address.
I'm trying to write a script that will merge the contacts. Here's what I
have so far:
tell application "Microsoft Entourage"
set selContacts to selection
set emailAddr to default email address of item 2 of selContacts
set blankAddress to item 1 of selContacts
set WorkAddress to (make new address at blankAddress)
set contents of WorkAddress to emailAddr
end tell
Those last two lines come straight from the manual. Problem is, I get an
error, "can't make a address". Grammar aside, how do I fix this?
