Great idea, but one BIG caveat:
Don't forget that placing all of your contacts and private emails on the
computer at work is fine if you work in a small office or you work for
yourself. It is a very questionable practice if your work computer belongs
to a large company which maintains the right to keep your data and claim it
as theirs.
For this reason, it might be best to keep a separate identity for work and
transfer only this one identity between work and home. Or, keep a copy of
home data in encrypted form on the work computer.
For those of you who enjoy working in a small office or for themselves,
ignore the above advice.
