We think we have isolated the cause of the problem, but I want to follow up
with with you to make sure you are not seeing a different problem.
Are any of your category names longer than 15 characters? We have seen cases
where certain categories (not necessarily the ones with the long names) are
duplicated in Entourage if you have created a category in Entourage that is
longer than the maximum allowed on the Palm.

The list is probably sick of this subject, but I can't seem to figure it
out.
I created categories on my new Palm Vx to match all of the categories in
Entourage (I've been using categories in Entourage heavily before the
purchase of the Palm). When I synched for the first time, a number of
categories were duplicated. I ended up with 4 "Personal" categories among
other things. I assume this is because I have items in all 4 PIM modules
assigned to the "Personal" category so the Palm is creating a category for
each conduit. However after playing around a little, I've managed to have 7
"Personal" categories now.
I've been looking among the messages I've saved from this list on the
subject and I haven't found a conclusive way to clean this up. How do I
clean this mess up? I realize that from now on if I want to create a
category I have to do it on the Palm (which I think is kind of dumb). But
what do I do now? Delete all of the categories in Entourage, synch so that
the categories are created and then re-assign? Any ideas?
