The Palm Desktop is relatively scriptable, but I had found one serious
(actually, fatal) problem with some of the main scripts used to link OE and
Palm Desktop - namely, import Palm contacts to OE. That script does not pick
up the labels associated with the telephone numbers correctly, so most of
the phone numbers are not transferred, and the last number transferred
generally ends up in the Home 2 entry.
Given the problems I have seen with syncing Palm and Entourage in the
mailing list, I am not eager to give up the Palm Desktop at this point and
directly sync Entourage with my Palm. Thus the same type of script (with the
above bug fixed!) would be very useful.
